Paradise Poker Review
The Paradise Poker Room is a very flashy and design oriented poker client that I found to be more oriented towards the younger poker player. During my playing time I didn’t experience any major problems, but at the same time I didn’t find that many great features about it that could potentially benefit your poker game. I tried to play out all of the different aspects that the poker client had to offer, and hopefully you will find the ones that I reviewed to be the most influential.
When you go to the website to download the poker client, you will notice that there are actually some positive extras that the site has to offer such as download instructions for any problems you may have. Another interesting thing that I found on this website was their list of reasons to pick them. This was just a list of reasons of why they were so good, however I found this to be a little superficial and not entirely necessary on the website. To download, install, and sign up for the poker client is all very easy and accessible on the web site without any confusion wasting your time.
Once you have downloaded, installed, and signed up you are able to open the poker room and play. You will notice that there will be pop-up messages informing you of any special tournaments, promotions, or events that they are currently having. This is oriented towards the real money players, and is useful if that is the kind of poker you are interested in. If you don’t want to play in any tournaments, then you can always pick from their many rooms that they have to offer. I found that sorting through all the different rooms was a bit tedious since although they had them organize by game type, they didn’t really have them sorted out that cleanly. I felt that the main lobby was flashier then the other poker rooms, but it was not as clean cut or as easy to access some of the features.
Once you have picked what game type you want to play (Holdem, stud, Omaha, 1-1, tournaments, or misc. games) and what betting level you want, you will be surprised at the graphics of the game for it being free. You are offered cocktails and can play in different backgrounds, all of which is a nice change to the normal poker room. I liked the fact that paradise poker decided to make this poker client flashy, but there are still some design issues I think they have to work out.
One of the features that I liked the most about this poker client was the added misc. games, mini tournaments, and 1-on-1 game types that they had. This makes this poker room more interesting to play in since you can change up more than just the game type. Yet, with these added game types came a downgrade to the fake money play compared to some of the other rooms. I didn’t think that there were as many poker rooms oriented towards play money as there were elsewhere, but this isn’t a huge deal since most people play for real money.
On the subject of real money play, I felt that this poker room had a decent amount of positive feature for their real money poker rooms. It was enjoyable to play in the different scenes that they provided, and the different bonuses that they offered were nice. The news reminders were also a very pleasant aspect to the real money player because they kept you updated on all the poker client had to offer.
Reviewing this room was definitely a positive experience for me, and although it wasn’t the best room I reviewed it was certainly something wasn’t a waste of my time. If you are interested in a room that is formulated through graphics and video-game like features then you should go their website and see if it’s something you would like.
