Empire Poker Room Review
Before doing this review, I had never played at this room before but I had heard a lot of mixed things about it. I played on the client for an allotted period of time in which I tried to experience firsthand most of the client’s features so that I could provide the most detailed review to you as the reader. Hopefully you will find this review beneficial in your selection and as always, if you have any remaining questions feel free to email me.
Getting started: I went to the poker clients website and was disappointed to find that it wasn’t nearly as nice as some of the others. It did not posses some of the aspects that other rooms have that I have found to be a large advantage to the newer players. However, the sign up process was very quick and simple. All that is required for you to start is for you to download the application, which is a relatively quick download. As soon as it is done downloading you don’t need the website anymore.
The install for the application was very easy and all that was required was for you to unzip the file that you downloaded. The first time you run the program it will ask you to sign on or start a new account. All you have to do is select start a new account and fill out the required fields (name, valid email, username, and password). After this just restart the application and you are ready.
Once inside: The program loads very quickly, but as soon as it opens you will realize why, since the graphics and design isn’t as nice as most of the other rooms, yet this isnt that important. One of the nice features of this room is the top ticker that has important dates and information for tournaments and specials streaming across the top of the poker client.
One of the best things about this room in my opinion was the very large selection of poker rooms, games, and stakes. This poker client has by far the most variety of games that I have seen, so if you like to mix up your game types I would definitely recommend that you check this site out. Also, with the amount of rooms that they have for both play and real money, you will never have to wait for an open spot.
However, this leads me to my next comment about the amount of people that play this room. In my experience with all the other poker rooms, I have never seen one with as many people as this one. This has its positive and negative features, but I found it frustrating to have to scroll through tons of poker rooms before I could find one without too many players and that met the rules that I wanted to play.
Once I got into a room though, I found it to be very well run, fast, and very enjoyable. There was one problem that kept occurring and that was my connection was lost and then reestablished numerous times, but that could have been just my computer. Overall, this client has a very simple but enjoyable manner about itself that makes you want to keep playing.
Bonus features: The bonus features for this poker client have some of the most generous promotions that I have yet to see. There are too many to list, but some of the more important ones are the starting bonus (up to $100) and the VIP treatments. Also, the vast amount of tournaments give you the chance to win great cash prizes as well as a chance to play in the world serious of poker 2005. Maybe you could be the next Fossil Man!
The Verdict: After my period of time had expired, I was disappointed that I couldn’t keep playing, but I’m not sure if it’s entirely because of all the features that the poker room had to offer. I came to the conclusion that this room is more for the regular and experienced poker player who is looking for some good cash games and tournaments. I would not recommend any beginners or players who just want to play for fake money because this site is not the best one to learn from. With that being said, I hope that you found this review helpful, and that you find the right poker room for you.
